1. 提高论文写作水平。几乎所有专业都以论文或研究报告的形式评估学业表现，尤其是人文类专业，如心理学、教育学或经济学。因此写作能力直接影响学生的GPA。
2. 提高批判性思维能力。（举例我）在大学的写作课里，学会了如何清晰地表达观点，如何用相关论据支持自己的观点，这与高中时着眼于语法和文学鉴赏类的写作截然不同。

不同意：
1. 并不是每个人都对写作感兴趣。对于不感兴趣的学生来说，这不但增加了学习负担，还使他们更加厌恶写作。他们很可能会应付一下这个课程，但日后对写作会变得更加没有兴趣。
2. 如果只是应付了事，对学生来说就是浪费时间。（举例朋友）上写作课时，只是按时出现在课室，从不听课。如果他能利用这个时间学习其他感兴趣的课程，时间就可以更好地被利用起来。

Experts suggest that parents should limit the time to less than 1 hour that children spend on electronic devices, such as computers and cell phones, except for homework.
 

 
审题重点：
如果把AGREE定为观点，分论点为“禁止电子设备的使用会让学生学习更集中”，这个点有跑题嫌疑，因为题目并没有禁止学生使用电子设备，而是限制他们每天最多使用1个小时用于学习。考试记得审好题，题目至少读2遍或以上，看全题目的限定条件哦~
 
建议解题思路如下：

Children are spending way too much time in front of screens, says the American Heart Association, and it's urging parents to drastically cut the hours their kids are allowed to use their phones, computers, tablets, and video games. Kids and teens age 8 to 18 spend an average of more than seven hours a day looking at screens. For younger children, age 2 to 5, the recommended limit is one hour per day. Research has linked screen time with an increased amount of sedentary behavior in children and teens. While there is no long-term evidence yet to link screen time to an increased risk of health conditions like cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol, there is mounting evidence that it is associated with obesity, cardiologist and CBS News medical contributor Dr. Tara Narula explains.

Communication is a two-way street. Research shows that a child's brain develops rapidly in the early years. We also know that young children learn best from interacting with people and not screens. It is only through real-life conversation, that children learn the subtle rules of social conversation, like making eye contact, using and understanding humor, introducing a new topic and knowing how to keep a conversation partner's attention.
